Ron Marlin
Senior Pastor
Ron Marlin is the Pastor of Gates Pass. Ron and Sheri have been married since 1988 and have 2 grown sons, Andrew and Philip. Ron spent over 20 years in the automotive business before following God’s call to full time service. He served as Associate Pastor of Sabino Road Baptist Church before launching Gates Pass Community Church in 2015. He has a passion to help people establish meaningful, authentic relationships with God and with one another.
Ron’s Faith Story: My family moved often, which meant I never started and ended a school year in the same city, until I was in seventh grade. Nevertheless, because of a brief time in Indiana, I knew I had a grandmother who was praying for me. At age 17, while a student in high school, I shared my desire to have a personal relationship with Jesus, with a trusted youth pastor. He explained that God loved me and that I could trust that God for the eternal relationship, He promises in scripture. This was a difficult concept because I had not experienced these qualities in my earthly father. Yet at that moment I trusted Jesus as my Savior and have sought Him as the Lord of my life ever since.
